Senior UX/UI Designer – Design Systems Specialist (w/m/d)

Unser Bereich "Digital Experience Design & Engineering" ist das professionelle Zuhause für unsere 26 Kolleginnen und Kollegen, die bei MaibornWolff digitale Erlebnisse gestalten. Unsere Mission: Herausragende Experiences von der ersten Research-Phase bis zum globalen Design System.
In cross-funktionalen Teams arbeitest du an vielfältigen Projekten – von Enterprise-Portalen bis zu Multi-Platform-UX im Automotive-Sektor. Unser methodischer Kern vereint systemisches Denken, Accessibility und datengetriebene UX-KPIs. Dabei integrieren wir AI-augmented Design smart in unseren Alltag, um Workflows zu optimieren, ohne die menschliche Empathie zu ersetzen.

Deine Aufgaben
- End-to-End System-Architektur: Du konzipierst und skalierst komplexe Design Systeme über alle Plattformen (Web, Mobile, XR) und definierst zukunftssichere Multi-Brand Token-Strukturen.
- High-End UI-Engineering: Du entwickelst intelligente UI-Komponenten inkl. komplexer Zustände und Barrierefreiheit (WCAG 2.2) in Figma sowie die begleitende Dokumentation in Storybook oder Zeroheight.
- Die Design-Development-Brücke: Als Sparringspartner*in für die Dev-Units übersetzt du Design-Logik in Komponenten-APIs und etablierst automatisierte Token-Workflows für eine echte „Single Source of Truth“.
- Governance & Community-Building: Du gestaltest smarte Contribution-Prozesse, moderierst Design-Boards und führst Maturity-Assessments durch, um das System nachhaltig in der Kundenorganisation zu verankern.
- Consulting & Stakeholder-Management: Du beratest Teams auf Augenhöhe, befähigst Kolleginnen und Kollegen in Workshops und verkaufst den Business-Value (ROI) deiner Lösungen souverän bis auf Management-Ebene.
- Innovation & Tech-Scouting: Du hast Trends wie AI-gestützte Workflows oder Figma MCP auf dem Schirm, evaluierst neue Tools und eliminierst Design- sowie Tech-Debt durch gezielte Reviews.
Dein Profil
- Ausbildung: Du hast ein Studium in UX/Interface Design, Interaction Design, HCI, (Medien-)Informatik oder eine vergleichbare Ausbildung mit starkem Fokus auf digitale Produktgestaltung erfolgreich abgeschlossen.
- Praxiserfahrung: Du blickst auf 5–7 Jahre im UX/UI-Design zurück, davon mindestens 3 Jahre mit tiefem Fokus auf den Aufbau und die Skalierung komplexer Design Systeme – idealerweise im Agentur- oder Beratungsumfeld sowie in agilen, cross-funktionalen Teams.
- Tools: Du bist Figma-Profi (Advanced Components, Variables) mit tiefer Expertise in Design-Token-Architekturen. Du beherrschst Dokumentations-Tools (Storybook, Zeroheight), Frontend-Technologien sowie den produktiven und verantwortungsvollen Einsatz von KI-Tools.
- Methodenkompetenz: Du beherrschst DesignOps und Governance-Modelle, übersetzt komplexe Stakeholder-Anforderungen souverän in modulare Patterns und sicherst die Qualität durch tiefes Wissen in Accessibility (WCAG 2.2) sowie Responsive Design.
- Reisebereitschaft: Du bringst grundsätzlich Reisebereitschaft, um unsere Kunden Deutschlandweit und gelegentlich auch international zu besuchen.
- Sprachkenntnisse: Du sprichst fließend Deutsch und Englisch.

Your Benefits
You have a contractually guaranteed budget of 1.5 gross monthly salaries per year at your disposal.
We do not have core working hours. You decide when you start and when you finish. The only condition: The cooperation with customers and in the team must work.
In the office, at home or at one of our locations: You decide when and where you work after consultation with your team.
When you start with us, we will provide you with experienced mentors for six months. They will support you as you settle in and help you with your induction. We will also introduce you to MaibornWolff at our kick-off events.
We pay 2,520 euros per year into your company pension plan.
You decide how many hours you want to work. We are flexible. You can also adjust your working hours on a monthly basis.
In consultation with your team, it is possible to work with us throughout the EU.
With us you have 30 days to rest. If you work in a part-time model, you have a proportionate amount of time off.
Thanks to our cooperation with EGYM Wellpass, you can choose from a wide range of sports, health and wellness courses and do what you enjoy.
You can use EUR 70 every month for public transportation, car sharing, e-scooters, everything to do with bicycles or even for refueling. Depending on the intended use, even tax and social security contribution-free.

Overtime is not the rule. If they are due, they do not expire. In demanding phases, you accumulate your overtime on your hourly account. In quiet phases, you balance them out again.
Each of our locations has its own charm. All are centrally located and easily accessible by public transport.
You get an iPhone from us. You also have the choice between a Macbook or a Dell notebook. What you need beyond that, you decide.
All our offices are easy to reach by bike. If you like, you can get a JobRad as a leasing model.
